Dear Doctor, My Father is aged 74, he had lower abdomen pain and immediate motion after having food. We did the CT scan, LFT. My Gastro told that to take fibroscan for liver thickness which showed 75kpa. The doctor said it is a severe level of liver damage and since my father is 74 years old, liver transplant cannot be done. The Hepatitis ABC tests are negative, he is non-alcoholic and non-smoker. The reason for the liver damage is unknown. Doctor suggested to take Heptral 400 mg 1 per day and Udiliv 2 per day. My question is, what is the next level of treatment to be done and any other medication is required. whom to contact is case of second opinion What are the other precautions to be taken for preventing further damages. Kindly send in your reply / answer to my mail id YYYY@YYYY Thanks V Lakshmi Narayanan
